Children Mission Planning is about helping individuals, congregations and groups of the Uniting Church decide about their options when it comes to working with children aged 0-12 years of age.

Mission planning is about providing resources and help in planning to include and encourage children's involvement in Church. This can happen during services,  a wide range of programs outside of the church service/s and through regular congregational life.

Mission planning is about seeing what God is already doing in that congregation or group and building on and planning for the next step.

Children’s Ministry has consistently been popping into my life when I least expected it. God has constantly presented me with opportunities to be involved in this ministry area which has now lead me to the role of Children’s Mission Planner.

I have been involved in children’s ministry events as a key leader through Pendleton Farm Retreat and later at KCO where I was the Event Assistant for two and a half years. I am a trained teacher and specialise in evaluating curriculum and resources. I have been given the opportunity through relief and contract teaching to directly work with thousands of children.

Children’s ministry in the Uniting Church has such great potential because we have so many enthusiastic people in congregations and centres working in Children’s Ministry. These people are full of fantastic ideas and a passion for the area in which they serve. We also have connections with so many children, through KCO, schools, playgroups, community activities and not to mention grandparents. I enjoy working with people, congregations and local communities in planning for the future of Children and Family Ministry
